Bird Watching in Costa Rica

Day 8 (Monday) - at Drake Bay (Rio Claro)

After an early breakfast, we'll hike west for an hour along the coast to Rio Claro where we'll explore a fascinating tropical rain forest with many old-growth trees.

We should see Laughing Falcons and Black Hawks, among other raptors.  Up to four species of monkeys (Whiteface, Howler, Squirrel, Red Spider) might be seen today.

There will be a picnic lunch, and opportunities for swimming and snorkeling.  In mid-afternoon a boat will take us back to Drake Bay.

Our final group dinner will wrap up the tour, and everyone will have time to pack and get a good night's sleep.
